2026 Toyota Tundra
The 2026 Toyota Tundra raises the bar for full-size pickup trucks by blending potent performance, modern luxury, and rugged off-road capability. At Toyota of Kent, this reimagined powerhouse is built to serve both work demands and lifestyle adventures, delivering strength, comfort, and cutting-edge tech in every trim.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2026 Tundra lineup includes SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone trims. SR shows off its functional toughness with durable materials and basic LED lighting. SR5 adds stylish wheels, improved trim accents, and more comfort features. Limited and Platinum introduce premium touches such as chrome or body-color trim, power running boards, and upscale LED lighting. The 1794 Edition leans into heritage luxury with Western styling cues and fine exterior finishes. TRD Pro hides its rugged intent with off-road wheels, unique grilles, lifted suspension, skid plates, and distinctive badging. Capstone sits at the pinnacle with exclusive exterior finish options, gloss black or premium chrome accents, and features that prioritize elegance without compromising truck utility.
Engine (Power)
The Tundra offers a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 in two tunes: the base delivers solid power for most tasks while the higher tune enhances output for more spirited driving or towing demands. Available above that is the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain which pairs the twin-turbo V6 with electric assist to produce notable increases in both horsepower and torque. Every engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that’s engineered for smooth shifts, strong acceleration, and towing capability.
Performance
Standard rear-wheel drive is available, while all-wheel or four-wheel drive is offered on many trims including TRD Pro and higher models. Tow/Haul modes, downhill Assist, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select are available to help tackle challenging terrain. Payload can reach nearly 1,940 pounds depending on configuration. When properly equipped, towing capacity climbs toward 12,000 pounds. Fuel economy for gas-only models is roughly in the high teens to low twenties, while hybrid versions offer modest gains—especially in highway driving. Tire sizes vary by trim, with larger and more aggressive wheels on off-road models.
Interior
Inside, the Tundra balances ruggedness with comfort. Entry trims offer cloth upholstery, basic infotainment, and durable surfaces. Moving up the trims unlocks leather or premium synthetic seating, heated and ventilated front seats, optional panoramic moonroof, and upgraded wood-grain or metallic accents. Displays scale up: lower trims get a modest touchscreen plus analog/digital gauges, higher trims offer a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14-inch center screen. Convenience features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multiple USB ports, premium JBL sound system in upper trims, and enhanced rear-seat amenities including air vents and more shoulder/headroom in CrewMax cabs.
Safety Features
Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 or higher comes standard and includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, and Road Sign Assist. Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are available on mid to high trims. Advanced safety tech such as a surround-view camera, trailer-sway control, and parking sensors become available on Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone models—giving you confidence driving, towing, or navigating tight spaces.
