Designed to electrify your morning commutes and weekend adventures, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid offers more power than its gas-only sibling and stellar fuel efficiency. The new RAV4 PHEV is available in two trim levels, both equipped with a hybrid powertrain that pairs front and rear electric motors with a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine and standard all-wheel drive. This system has a total output of 302 horsepower, which is more than enough for daily drives and off-roading alike. The engine’s PHEV configuration allows you to drive this SUV in hybrid, gas-only, or electric-only modes.

On its own, the gas engine produces 177 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque. Normal, Sport, and Eco drive modes make it easy to adjust performance for various terrain conditions. The electric system uses a 179-hp front motor that generates 199 lb-ft of torque and a 53-hp rear motor that makes 89 lb-ft of torque. With 42 miles of range, the EV mode is perfect for commutes with zero tailpipe emissions.

Sophisticated Inside-Out

As sporty as its gas-only namesake, the RAV4 PHEV boasts an eye-catching profile. Despite its compact size, ​its wide stance provides outstanding stability in all driving conditions. Large, 18-inch 5-spoke black-painted wheels are standard, enhancing the model’s traction ​while adding ​visual appeal. Each model also comes standard with LED exterior lights with daytime running lights accent lighting and a stylish diamond-patterned front grille.

The interior boasts a red-accent theme ​that includes red stitching on the dash and seats mated with black in-dash storage trays. Heated front seats are standard, while a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel is ​optional. At the back, 60/40 split-fold rear seats allow you to expand the cargo capacity from 33.5 cubic feet to 69.8 cubic feet. In-cabin storage is plentiful, and you can customize your ride with a power moonroof.

Infotainment and Driver Assistance

Designed to add fun to your rides, Toyota’s Audio Multimedia infotainment system comes standard with an 8-inch center ​touchscreen and six speakers, ​offering access to multiple entertainment options and providing excellent sound quality. ​With ​Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ​you can access your favorite streaming apps or playlists directly ​from your phone.

A premium 10.5-inch touchscreen and an 11-speaker premium audio system by JBL are available. Both trim levels are ​also compatible with Toyota’s connected services and ​come with a rich suite of driver assistance technologies, including a vehicle proximity notification system, hill start assistance, and trailer sway control. Backup cameras with dynamic guidelines are also ​standard across the lineup.
